It’s official! The registrations to the 2021 edition of the European Week for Waste Reduction have been opened!! You can now register your action to participate in the campaign that will take place from 20 to 28 November 2021 with a thematic focus on Circular communities.
But, do you really know everything you should know before registering your action? Not sure? This article will explain some important points you cannot forget to be part of the campaign.
Each action developer that wants to register an action for the EWWR has to be aware of the Action Developer’s Participation Charter. Before the registration of your action, read this document (available in English, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese). There, you will find the rules that your action has to respect to be accepted for the EWWR. We summarised the main points to keep into consideration when planning your EWWR action.
- The action developer (or the entity registering the action) has to be part of one of the 5 categories (public administration and organisation, Association and NGO, Business/Industry, Educational establishment, and Citizen(s) ).
- The action has to take place at least one of the days of the EWWR (20-28 November 2021)
- The action has to be non-profit and, in case you organise any kind of event, the entry has to be free of charge.
- The action has to focus on at least one of the topics of the EWWR (Strict avoidance and reduction at source; Reuse an preparing for reuse; Waste sorting and recycling; Clean-up action; Thematic focus: circular communities).
Discover all the other points by reading the Action Developer’s Participation Charter.
Once you have read the Participation Charter, you are ready to register your action!
The registration process is easy but if you have any doubts, we have prepared a video explaining how to register an action, step by step. Furthermore, a written guide is available in Catalan, English, Greek, Italian and Spanish. If you have doubts, check the list of Coordinators and contact your regional or national coordinator. If your country does not have a coordinator, get in touch with the EWWR Secretariat.
Once your registered your action, the Coordinators have the important role to check if the actions registered by the action developers of their countries/regions respect the points attested by the Participation Charter. You will be contacted by the Coordinator of you country/region or by the EWWR Secretariat if something is not clear on your action.
If you have any doubts, don’t wait more and contact your regional or national Coordinator or the general email address of the campaign: contact@ewwr.eu
