Take on the October Challenge: #WhyOverPackaging

In today’s consumer-driven world, over packaging has become a pervasive issue, leading to unnecessary waste and environmental concerns. To address this problem, EWWR launch in October a challenge called #WhyOverPackaging, encouraging individuals to raise awareness about over-packaging and its environmental impact.

Have you ever found yourself unwrapping layer upon layer of packaging to access a simple product? Or perhaps you’ve received an oversized box for a tiny item? If you’ve experienced such situations, the #WhyOverPackaging challenge invites you to take a photo and share your packaging frustrations on social media.

Challenge name: #WhyOverPackaging Challenge

Duration: Throughout the month of October

Objective: Raise awareness about unnecessary packaging and encourage the search for sustainable alternatives.

Participant instructions:

  • Follow EWWR on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram.
  • Post a photo of a product with unnecessary packaging.
  • Use the hashtag #WhyOverPackaging and #EWWR2023 in your post.
  • Make sure to tag @EWWR in your post so they can see your participation and repost it!

End goal: The ultimate goal of this challenge is to create awareness about the issue of unnecessary packaging and encourage the search for sustainable solutions. By engaging the community in discussion and action, we hope to inspire positive changes towards a world with less packaging waste.
