The registrations for the 2022 edition of the European Week for Waste Reduction have been opened! You can now register your action to participate in the campaign that will take place from 19 to 27 November 2022 with a thematic focus on Circular and Sustainable Textiles.
But, do you really know everything you should know before registering your action? Not sure? This article will explain some important points you cannot forget to be part of the campaign.
Each action developer that wants to register an action for the EWWR has to be aware of the Action Developer’s Participation Charter. Before the registration of your action, read this document (available in English, Italian, Spanish, Greek, Turkish, Slovenian, and Portuguese). There, you will find the rules that your action has to respect to be accepted for the EWWR. We summarised the main points to keep into consideration when planning your EWWR action.
- The action developer (or the entity registering the action) has to be part of one of the 5 categories (public administration and organisation, Association and NGO, Business/Industry, Educational establishment, and Citizen(s) ).
- The action has to take place at least one of the days of the EWWR (19-27 November 2022)
- The action has to be non-profit and, in case you organise any kind of event, the entry has to be free of charge.
- The action has to focus on at least one of the topics of the EWWR (Strict avoidance and reduction at source; Reuse and preparing for reuse; Waste sorting and recycling; Clean-up action; Thematic focus: Circular and Sustainable Textiles).
Discover all the other points by reading the Action Developer’s Participation Charter.
Once you have read the Participation Charter, you are ready to register your action! Create an account or, if you already have one, log in and add a new action!
The registration process is easy but if you have any doubts, we have prepared a video explaining how to register an action, step by step. Furthermore, a written guide is available in many languages. If you have doubts, check the list of Coordinators and contact your regional or national coordinator. If your country does not have a coordinator, get in touch with ACR+ as European Coordinator.
Once you registered your action, the Coordinators have the important role to check if the actions registered by the action developers of their countries/regions respect the points attested by the Participation Charter. You will be contacted by the Coordinator of your country/region or by the EWWR Secretariat if something is not clear in your action.
You are now ready to take part in the European Week for Waste Reduction! Do not wait more and register your action!
The last day to register is 13 November 2022.
