Join TESCO packaging and waste reduction  projects!

For the fourth time, the Tesco Foundation will support projects to implement active measures against food waste in Slovakia. 39 non-profit organizations, municipalities, schools, kindergartens, but also contributory organizations are joining the program. The winners will be supported by 40,000 eur and announced during EWWR week.

In packaging, we are fulfilling challenging goals:
– own brand products packaging will be fully recyclable by 2025
– all paper and board used for own brand products will be 100 % sustainable by 2025 – FSC or PEFC certified

By reusing plastic crates, which are used for delivering goods from suppliers to our shops we reduced our CO2 emissions in Slovakia 2.998 tons. This is one of the examples how we motivate our customers to do their part and join some of the most effective actions to reduce CO2 emissions, e.g. going vegetarian by focusing on plant-based products.
