DA.360 FOOD NETWORK
National Network to Reduce Food Waste

The DA.360 Food Network initiative and program is a national platform, present throughout the national territory with more than 1000 partners, focused on fighting food waste and reducing social, environmental, and economic impacts.

With the claim “Innovation in Action. The new path to Sustainability”, DARiACORDAR’s action and strategy for the DA.360 Food Network focuses on:

I. Recover, Reduce, Redistribute – From surplus food production from the HoReCa, Retail, and other channels, which are channeled and redistributed to communities;
II. Transform Business Models – With monitoring, consulting, and implementation of projects and methodologies to support company management aiming for greater sustainability, adoption of circular production models, and reduction of waste;
III. Community Awareness – with national campaigns aimed at consumers and families, raising awareness of the importance of adopting new consumption habits;
IV. Innovation and Research – through the establishment of partnerships with Universities, Entrepreneurs, Companies, and Cities to identify new opportunities and areas of innovation to combat waste
V. Data Analytics and Monitoring – providing real-time data intelligence with the DA.360 application, available at https://360.dariacordar.org/.

The results achieved so far:
– Over 30 million meals recovered
– Over 19 thousand tons of food waste avoided
– Over 80 thousand tons of CO2 emissions avoided
– Over 1.8 million beneficiaries supported
– Over 722 thousand families supported
– Over 95 Million Euros were generated with the circular economy model.

This activity is continuous, with the collection every day of thousands of meals and food products that otherwise would be wasted.
