WEEE School Workshop
• WHAT will be done
Description:
This interactive WEEE workshop is designed to engage Key Stage 3 pupils in understanding how electrical waste impacts the environment and what they can do to help reduce it. Delivered as part of the Circular Schools Programme within Armagh Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council, the session combines hands-on learning with real-world examples to inspire positive change.
During the workshop, pupils explore the journey of everyday electrical items, from manufacture and use to disposal, and discover how recycling and reusing electronics can save valuable materials, reduce pollution, and conserve energy. Activities include group discussions, sorting challenges, and quizzes that help pupils identify which household items count as WEEE and how they should be properly recycled.
