Waste Campaign
• WHAT will be done
Description:
Malta International Airport hosts approximately 4,300 employees from stakeholder companies at the airport and saw 8.96 billion passengers passing through the terminal in 2024, all of whom generate and dispose of waste in one way or another. This Waste Campaign was carried out by the Malta International Airport in the form of a number of meetings with the airport’s different stakeholders with the aim of spreading awareness and educating on how to effectively dispose of waste. These meetings explained the different types of waste and where to dispose of them in the airport to ensure proper waste separation. This campaign is part of the airport’s ongoing efforts to minimise landfill waste. Details on the waste campaign and its results will be highlighted through internal communications between 22nd-30th November.
