We are a base school providing ODM education to disadvantaged and cumulatively disadvantaged students with behavioral and learning difficulties. The aim of the project is to promote waste reduction and sustainability through the creative form of recycling. We collect old clothes and textiles, and then use traditional techniques to make rag rugs and doormats. Participants learn about the possibilities of reusing materials and environmentally conscious thinking. During the process, manual dexterity, patience and community cooperation are also developed. The finished products will not only be useful and unique, but they will also remind us that waste can also become a value. This project contributes to protecting the environment and developing conscious consumption.
