Within the framework of the “Complex crime prevention and reintegration program strengthening social cohesion” with identification number EFOP_PLUSZ-3.1.1-24-2024-00001, our staff provide vocational rehabilitation services to prisoners who cannot be involved in employment. In the prison institutions joining the campaign, the participating prisoners make handicrafts mostly from recycled raw materials, which they offer to state, municipal, church and civil institutions and organizations as a form of reparation. The campaign serves both to develop environmentally conscious behavior of prisoners and staff, their commitment to community values, to facilitate prisoners’ entry into the labor market after their release, and to socially integrate released prisoners through organizations accepting reparation offers. It is of utmost importance for them to provide vocational rehabilitation services in prisons that will help them maintain and develop their working abilities and skills. Several prisons will join the program, the scope of which will be finalized later.
