The Thrift Pop-Up will be held for the third consecutive year this November, with this edition expanding in scale, scope and collaboration. The event aims to promote circular economy practices through second-hand clothing, creative reuse, and community-based educational activities. We will be hosting this event in partnership with MSPCA Charity Shops, further strengthening the link between the project and charitable second-hand supply chains in Malta.

Apart from having a curated selection of second-hand clothing sourced from MSPCA charity shops, three entertainment acts will perform during the two-day event: Kelsey Bellante, Ma’estri Band, and Colourblind Band.

A series of thematic exhibitions will also be integrated into the event. These include:
1. ReWired E-Waste Workshop Final Projects display; where local artists transformed discarded electronic waste into works of art.
2. Garments created by students from Manzoni Fashion School, produced using second-hand fabrics and other donated materials provided by MSPCA charity shops. These works demonstrate practical application of circularity within educational fashion design contexts.
In addition, a DIY jewellery-making workshop will be organised on Saturday, specifically targeted towards younger children. Participants will be guided to create their own bracelets using beads and elastic materials sourced from MSPCA charity shops. This activity intends to introduce circular thinking at early ages and reinforce value perception in reuse-based making.
The objective of the 2025 Thrift Pop-Up is to expand public exposure to circular systems in practice while also enhancing connection between cultural experience, reuse-driven retail, and environmental education. The event consolidates artistic interpretation, second-hand fashion access, and hands-on learning within one collective public platform.
