TALLER “SABONS DE SEMPRE”
• WHAT will be done
Description:
The “Sabons de sempre” workshop is a traditional and sustainable activity dedicated to the artisanal production of soaps from used cooking oil, led by Priscilla, a local expert specializing in natural soap workshops.
This is a closed workshop, specifically designed for the Guadasséquies Senior Citizens Association, with the aim of exploring the ethnological and cultural aspects of daily life linked to traditional domestic practices.
During the session, participants learn how to transform reused cooking oil into eco-friendly soap, following ancestral methods and simple formulas that revive folk wisdom. They also share memories, customs, and knowledge about resourcefulness, fostering intergenerational dialogue and the value of traditional knowledge.
Overall, “Sabons de sempre” combines environmental sustainability, cultural memory, and hands-on learning, highlighting small, everyday actions as an essential part of the local ethnological heritage.
