Date: November 28, 2025, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Organization: Ecoembes, in collaboration with the Algeciras City Council through its Department of the Environment
Description of the activity: Learning through play: reinforcing what goes in each recycling bin and how recycling generates new resources. Development:
1. The facilitator arrives with the yellow Ecoembes tricycle, which is visible and uses sound (music, balloons).
2. They invite the neighbors (adults and children) to answer quick questions like “Where does… go?”
Ex.: “Where would an empty water bottle go?” Yellow
“And a cereal box?” Blue
3. Upon answering correctly, the object is symbolically placed in the corresponding container on the tricycle.
4. The facilitator briefly explains:
“By recycling, we transform packaging into new materials—like clothing, furniture, or new packaging—closing the loop of the circular economy.”
5. Immediate reward:
• Adults Reusable bag with logos.
• Children Balloon or balloon animal.
6. Closing the interaction: invitation to scan the QR code on the tricycle or banner to watch videos
about how recycled materials are transformed.
Added value:
• High interaction.
• Educational message conveyed in an engaging way.
• Visual reinforcement of the “cycle” and “second life.”
