European Week for Waste Reduction has been featured every autumn in Lakeuden Etappi’s resident communications. Etappiaviisi is a publication released online by the municipal waste company. The online publication includes a dedicated article providing background information about waste electrical and electronic equipment.

It is hoped that this background information will increase residents’ awareness of the harmful effects of electrical waste and encourage them to use and maintain their electrical devices in such a way that machines life cycle is extended.
