School in green mode – Reuse ON, Waste OFF!
• WHAT will be done
Description:
European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR)
Activity Theme: “Reuse ON – Waste OFF”
Our school is proudly taking part in the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR), aiming to raise awareness among students, teachers, and parents about reducing Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
During this activity, students will learn what electronic waste is, where it can be collected, and how we can reuse, repurpose, or recycle it responsibly. Through discussion and teamwork, we will create posters and art pieces inspired by the idea of giving new life to old electronics, highlighting our message: “Reuse ON – Waste OFF.”
Parents will actively participate by bringing old electronic devices from home for recycling, setting a positive example of responsible environmental behavior. At the end of the event, a representative from the Municipality’s Recycling Department will be invited to collect the devices and ensure their proper disposal.
Through this initiative, our school demonstrates that knowledge, cooperation, and action can truly power up sustainability!
