Monday, November 24, 2025 Play stations on the topic of waste reduction
The children are divided into 3 groups and they travel between the stations with the help of the nanny.

1. Station: Protecting our Earth: Sort the trash!
There are five small bins placed in the group: plastic, metal, organic, paper, glass.
Before the activity, the children watch a short educational video (Segregated Trash Tale – Nándi’s Tales), then we discuss which bins contain which type of trash. Then the children use tweezers to sort the trash and place it in the appropriate bins.
The e-waste found among the waste placed on the table (batteries, telephone cables, small toy coffee makers, unused phones) is sorted separately and we discuss that we do not throw them in the bin, but hand them in at various waste yards or during periodic collections.

2. Station: Broken or shall we fix it?

Grouping picture cards depicting different types of e-waste. There are cards face down on the table, each child chooses a picture card and places it in the appropriate box: the green collection box contains the pictures that can be repaired, and the red box contains the pictures that are to be thrown away.

3. Waste target throwing

The children stand at the designated place and try to throw the plastic caps into the waste collection points opposite them/blue, yellow, green/ into the corresponding colored bin (box). The goal is to put the corresponding colored cap in the corresponding collection point.
Tuesday, November 25, 2025 The children are divided into 3 groups and take turns participating in the activity.

Game 1: Waste Detectives
The children have to find the picture cards depicting waste hidden in the room and throw them into the appropriate bin (plastic, organic, glass, metal, paper, hazardous waste). The cards depicting e-waste are collected separately.
Game 2: Find the Misfits! Cleaning our waters
A blue material represents the pond. The pictures depict things that belong in the pond and things that don’t belong there (fits: fish, aquatic plants, don’t belong there: batteries, glass, plastic bottles, etc.). The children have to take out of the pond what doesn’t belong there. Once they have taken them out, they have to put them in the appropriate colored bin (paper, glass, plastic, metal, hazardous waste).
The team lines up at the starting line and 1 child from the team goes to the lake first, then selects a picture that does not fit and places it in the appropriate colored waste bin, then after a pat – like in relay races – the next one can start. If the child is unsure, he can show the picture to his friends, who can help him, give him advice on which colored waste bin to place the picture in. The goal of the race is not speed, but perfect problem solving.

Third game: Puzzle
The children have to solve two puzzles. We cut both pictures into pieces of the same size and number. We mark the pieces of the picture on the back, the parts belonging to one picture receive the same sign: circle, triangle. The playing time is 10 minutes. During this time, the two pieces of the puzzle must be solved one after the other.

Thursday, 27 November 2025 From waste to treasure – creative workshop
We will make various toys and objects from recyclable materials collected by children and parents (egg trays, toilet paper rolls, PET bottles, plastic caps, boxes), which the children can continue to play with.
Friday, 28 November 2025 Organizing an exhibition of the completed works
Involving parents: Making a robot from electrical waste. We will organize an exhibition of the completed works in the kindergarten corridor.
