RECyCLE RIGHT AT SCHOOL
• WHAT will be done
Description:
Throughout the European Week for Waste Reduction, our school will launch the campaign “Recycle Right at School!” to promote the correct separation and recycling of plastic and paper waste.
Colour-coded recycling bins will be placed in each classroom and common areas to encourage students to sort their waste properly. Daily monitoring teams formed by students will ensure that recycling is done correctly, turning the process into an educational and collaborative activity.
The collected materials will be taken to the local recycling containers, reinforcing our school’s commitment to caring for the environment.
Objectives:
- Increase awareness of the importance of waste sorting and recycling.
- Reduce mixed waste in classrooms and common areas.
- Promote student responsibility and teamwork through daily recycling duties.
- Build long-term sustainable habits within the school community.
Expected results:
- Improved waste sorting and reduction of non-recyclable waste.
- Active student participation in sustainability actions.
- Cleaner and more environmentally conscious school environment.
- Increased collaboration and ownership of eco-friendly practices among pupils.
Communication and visibility:
The campaign will be presented through school assemblies, posters made by students, and updates on the school’s website and social networks. A final “Recycling Champions” recognition will be awarded to the classes that best manage their recycling efforts.
