RechargeGreece.gr is an online platform created to inform, inspire, and mobilize citizens, organizations, and businesses around battery recycling and the responsible management of electrical and electronic waste in Greece, among other streams.

The website provides clear, practical information on where (specialized map) and how (tips, articles) to recycle batteries, along with educational materials about the environmental impact of improper disposal and tools to promote sustainable behavior.

While AFIS continues to lead Greece’s efforts in portable battery recycling, the creation of RechargeGreece.gr goes beyond its core mission and reflects a broader commitment to environmental education and to raising awareness across all waste streams (ρεύματα αποβλήτων) – from electrical and electronic equipment to paper, plastic, glass, fabric and more.

Our main goal is to create a centralized point of reference for citizens, while also facilitating better communication channels between systems.
