Description:
| Malta Freeport Terminals will support abandoned dogs through a practical and community-driven initiative combining reuse and fundraising. Employees will collect and repurpose wooden pallets to build raised beds, shaded rest platforms, etc. for a local dog sanctuary, improving comfort and quality of life for rescued dogs. Alongside this, a ‘Bottle for food’ plastic bottle collection drive will be launched across the Freeport, where collected bottles are exchanged for funds to purchase dog food and essential supplies. Employees will be encouraged to participate by contributing bottles, helping in simple pallet construction sessions, or assisting with delivery to the sanctuary. This initiative reflects circular economy values in action, strengthens community compassion, and provides direct, meaningful support to abandoned dogs in need. |
