One coffee for you, and the grounds for the plants!
• WHAT will be done
Description:
Coffee grounds are a by-product, a valuable raw material, containing potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, which restores the nutrient content of the soil. In addition, they have a deodorizing and insect-repellent effect. They repel cats, so they are food for beneficial organisms (earthworms). They improve the structure of the soil as compost. They are placed dry or mixed with water in the bin on the main road, where there are plants/trees.
To improve the soil of the plants and trees placed in the bins in front of the pub (we first asked the opinion of the BP chief landscape architect), we dry or dilute the coffee grounds generated in the pub and place them in the bin, and we also draw the attention of our partners to the local, public use of this by-product – instead of it going into the trash.
