Napkin recycling workshop

Info

WHAT will be done

Description:

The goal is to replace disposable paper napkins and plastic bags, to demonstrate practical ways to reduce everyday waste, and to promote creative reuse. During the workshop, participants will make washable, reusable napkins from textile scraps, discarded clothing, or recycled materials, which offer an environmentally friendly alternative to disposable napkins. At the beginning of the program, there will be a brief introduction to the environmental impacts of textile waste, the principles of sustainable housekeeping, and the circular economy approach. Then, with practical guidance, sewing and folding techniques, and pattern making, we will help participants make their own reusable napkins. Everyone can take the finished products home, so they can continue the message of waste reduction through everyday use.
