• WHAT will be done
Description:
Our vocational high school undertakes to organize the following events in the institution during the Week:
1. E-waste collection: from November 24 to 27. It will take place on two levels: 1/a. Collection of broken household electrical appliances and accessories (small appliances, cables, telephones, etc.) in the vocational high school and in the School of Arts. 1/b. Used battery collection competition announced for vocational high school classes.
2. Artistic reinterpretation: on November 27, in the afternoon, teams of vocational high school classes and a team of teachers will reinterpret the collected e-waste, unleashing their creativity and creating works of art from them, which will be on display in an exhibition on November 28.
3. Attitude-shaping lectures: During the teaching week, we invite experts to the class teacher classes of four vocational high school classes, who will give lectures to the students on, among other things, the reduction of e-waste and its recycling options.
4. Film screenings: During some lessons, we will screen documentaries about e-waste and planned obsolescence.
5. Zero waste concert: on November 25, we will organize a student concert in the spirit of waste reduction. The stage decoration will be built from e-waste, the program booklet will only be available in digital form. At the beginning of the concert, we will draw the attention of the guests present to the importance of waste reduction and the actions of the European Waste Reduction Week.
6. Bring and take! School Exchange Point: During the week, students can freely exchange their tired items, but there will also be a shelf of transferable items in a frequented area of the school, where they can get rid of their tired but still usable items, not just electrical items, and acquire new items on the same shelf.
