Description:
MSPCA Charity Shops – Sustainable Thrift Pop-Up Event
Event Dates: 28–29 November
Location: Avenue 77, Birkirkara
(Venue kindly sponsored by Avenue 77)
The MSPCA Charity Shops, with the support of Kunsill Reġjonali Lvant, are proud to present a large Sustainable Thrift Pop-Up Event dedicated to promoting recycling, upcycling, and sustainable living in our community.
Over two exciting days, visitors will have the opportunity to explore over 10 clothing rails and 10 tables filled with second-hand clothes, books, accessories, shoes, bags, and household items — all given a second life and saved from ending up in Maltese landfills.
Beyond shopping sustainably, the event will feature a variety of creative and educational experiences:
-
An art installation made entirely from electronic waste, showcasing the importance of repurposing and environmental responsibility.
-
A fashion show in collaboration with the students of Manzoni Fashion School, presenting one-of-a-kind garments designed from upcycled and repurposed materials.
-
Live performances by local artists Colourblind, Kelsey Bellante, and Maestri, sharing the message of sustainability and creative reuse through music and performance.
-
Children’s activities aimed at inspiring young participants to embrace sustainable habits and understand the value of recycling and upcycling.
This event demonstrates how creativity, collaboration, and conscious choices can come together to make a real difference. Through community engagement and environmental awareness, we aim to build a greener, more sustainable Malta.
