Description:
This year, the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) focuses on Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE),one of the fastest-growing waste streams worldwide.
A treasure hunt event that children can participate will take place in downtown Athens.
A treasure hunt game looking and finding smaller e-waste, the event will encourage children to be active and to explore. A fun and satisfying experience for children to learn about recycling.
Setting up a treasure hunt by hiding clues and treasure. Clues will be given on where we can find invisible e-waste in our home, in our everyday life.
Also the children will have the opportunity to attend a theatrical interactive play by 3 professional actors. The theatrical play is based on the book ‘the guardians of nature: Fotis, Fotoula and Fotokiklosi’, an ecological educating tale for young children to learn in a pleasant way, the benefits from proper treatment of WEEE and circular economy in a funny and educative way.
