Kocaeli University Sustainability Office will organize an electronic waste collection campaign as part of the 17th edition of the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR), held between 22–30 November 2025 under the theme “Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)”.

Kocaeli University Sustainability Office will place waste collection bins/bins at designated points/points on its campus between 22-30 November 2025. Students, academics and staff bring e-waste such as old phones, chargers, cables, remote controls and small electronic devices. Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality will transport the collected waste to the licensed recycling center. Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Environmental Protection and Control Department will support us in this event. Students from the Kocaeli University Faculty of Political Sciences Student Quality Commission, Zero Waste Club, Environment Club and Sustainable Traces Club will also contribute to the organization of the event.

Our goal is to raise awareness and take concrete action to recycle e-waste without harming the environment, and to strengthen students’ sustainable consumption habits.
