• WHAT will be done
Description:
The Zbornica komunalnega gospodarstva Slovenije / Chamber of Public Utilities of Slovenia (CPUS – ZKGS) is an independent, voluntary and non-profit association of legal and natural persons engaged in economic activities in the field of public utilities. It is the successor to the activities of the Chamber of Public Utilities within the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (GZS – ZKG) and, since 1 January 2023, has been operating independently as a close contractual partner within the system of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia.
In 2025, Zbornica komunalnega gospodarstva Slovenije is implementing a joint awareness-raising action with it’s member ZEOS, d.o.o., Slovenia’s leading organisation for the management of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), waste batteries, industrial batteries, and waste grave candles. The mission of ZEOS is focused on proper management of e-waste and raising environmental awareness through projects that also promote other elements of the circular economy – repair, sharing and reuse.
The action includes publishing links to the educational video series “Itak, da se da” (“Of course it can be done”) on the ZKGS website and in the ZKGS e-newsletter, which is distributed to more than 600 recipients between September and November 2025 (6 publications on www and 6 in E-newsletter), with special emphasis during the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) – every day.
The links lead to a series of short video shows providing tips on how to maintain and repair electrical appliances:
Can electrical appliances be properly maintained and repaired at home? Of course they can!
Visit the @sesemuporaben channel and watch video tips on maintenance and repair of the most commonly used household appliances. The series, titled “Itak, da se da!” (“Of course it can be done!”), is available at https://www.youtube.com/@sesemuporaben.
The action’s applicant monitors the number of video views before and after the promotion period, as well as the response of recipients during the awareness-raising campaign. ZKGS is calling on all its members — including 95% of public service providers in the field of waste management (municipal utilities) — to share the campaign links through their communication channels and thereby encourage users to act responsibly.
