Hands on Waste, Hearts in Place 🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️🛠💖💽💻📠📻
• WHAT will be done
Description:
We’re bringing young hearts and wise hands together for a creative and meaningful experience!
In this intergenerational workshop, elderly residents from a local care home will guide kindergarten children through the joyful process of taking apart old electronic devices exploring what’s inside and learning how things work.
With their hands on waste, participants will see that even broken objects have stories to tell and lessons to teach. As the children discover screws, circuits, and tiny treasures, the elders will share their skills and also their memories keeping both hearts in place and values alive.
Together, they’ll transform what once seemed useless into a moment of connection, curiosity, and creativity. This workshop celebrates the beauty of reusing, repairing, relating and upcycling showing that learning flows best when generations meet and hands work with heart.
