Description:
Green Circuit: Electronic Waste Collection Days
The Biofilter Group is joining the European Waste Reduction Week this year, with the focus this time on electronic waste. The initiative aims to raise awareness of conscious consumption and how we can collectively reduce the impact of e-waste on the environment.
As part of the “Green Circuit” campaign, all of the Group’s locations offer the opportunity to return small electronic devices that have accumulated in households and that are no longer used or broken. These include mobile phones, tablets, laptops, monitors, printers, keyboards, mice, headphones, radios, tape recorders, and small kitchen appliances such as scales, sandwich toasters, and food processors. We also provide the opportunity to collect batteries and accumulators, but larger household appliances such as refrigerators and washing machines are not included in the campaign.
The workshop hands over the collected devices to MOHU, where they undergo professional processing and recycling. In this way, we contribute to returning valuable raw materials to the cycle and reducing the burden on the environment with fewer hazardous substances.
Electronic waste is one of the fastest growing types of waste in the world, so every conscious decision and small step counts. With the joint participation of the group of companies, we not only reduce the amount of waste, but also set an example of responsible, sustainable operation.
The collection points and the exact time of the campaign will be announced on internal communication channels. We encourage all colleagues to go green with us and have old devices professionally recycled.
