Gadget rescue adventures
• WHAT will be done
Description:
Our school, the skill development section of the Cházár András Unified Special Educational Methodological Institute, Kindergarten, Primary School, Vocational School, Skill Development School, Dormitory, Ignác Pivár Development Education and Training School, is planning its action for the European Waste Reduction Week under the title of “Kütyümentő kalandok”. We educate and educate mentally disabled young people in grades 9-12. During the school days between November 24-28, all classes of our section will talk a lot about the possibilities of e-waste reduction. Led by our teachers, we try to implement this in practice according to our capabilities through various experiences and activities.
Our plans include a visit to a computer service and a scrap yard, a presentation of old electronic devices, collection and return of used batteries, creative activities with e-waste recycling and a playful competition in the application of new knowledge. We have been collecting recycling ideas for years in a closed Facebook group we created for our school staff called “You Don’t Need My Treasure.” We will continue to expand this collection with this year’s theme.
