MÉH Zrt. is launching a national awareness-raising campaign on the occasion of the European Waste Reduction Week (November 22–30, 2025), which aims to raise public awareness of the responsible disposal of electronic waste and the everyday importance of the circular economy.

The central message of the campaign is: “Every piece counts.”

We want to show that waste is not the end of the process, but the beginning of a new life – the basis of the circular economy.

During the program, electronic waste (e.g. refrigerators, washing machines, televisions) disposed of at MÉH sites will earn double points in the MÉH application, thus encouraging the public to actively participate and make responsible decisions. Among those who dispose of waste during the given week, we will draw a wellness weekend at the Gyirmóti Sport and Wellness Hotel, thus strengthening the positive experience for environmentally conscious action.

The main element of the campaign is a video that shows the entire journey of electronic waste: from the public handover, through the MÉH site collection and transport, to the shredder plants in Fehérvárcsurgó, where the waste is transformed into new raw materials after separation. These are later used to make new products – such as machine parts, metal or plastic elements – so that the waste truly gets a new life.

Communication takes place on several platforms: educational, inspiring posts and campaign video ads run on Facebook and Instagram, push notifications and banners in the MÉH application help participation, and posters and QR code information at our sites draw attention to participation.

The strength of the campaign is that it connects attitude formation to concrete action: it not only educates, but also motivates people to responsible waste management, while using the MÉH application it provides real feedback and rewards for environmentally conscious behavior.
