The Food Rescuers program, organized by the Tesco Foundation, supports innovative community projects that help reduce food waste and promote sustainable food use across Slovakia. In its 6th year, the program supports initiatives focused on education, awareness, and practical waste reduction solutions — such as foodsharing, processing surplus food, zero-waste cooking workshops, or efficient food donation systems. A total of €60,000 will be distributed among the most impactful projects contributing to food waste prevention and environmental sustainability. The project involves organizations from across Slovakia.

Special consideration will be given to projects focused on:

1. Education, innovative solutions, and public awareness related to food waste prevention.

2. Social and community support programs that promote the effective donation of unsold food.
