WHAT will be done

Description:

⚡ EWWR 2025 GBS HE Malta Challenge: “Think Smart, Use Smart!”

(Focus: Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment – E-Waste)

🎯 Main Objective

Encourage students to use their electronic devices responsibly, save energy, and extend the lifespan of their technology — showing that the best way to reduce electronic waste is to use less, for longer, and more consciously.

💡 Day 1 – “Power Down Monday”

Theme: Energy saving.
Challenge: Turn off and unplug all devices and chargers not in use.

💻 Day 2 – “Tech Detox Tuesday”

Theme: Conscious screen use.
Challenge: Spend one hour without a phone or social media, and use that time to read, walk, or talk with someone face-to-face.

🔋 Day 3 – “Battery Smart Wednesday”

Theme: Extending device and battery life.
Challenge: Apply smart habits — avoid charging to 100%, close unused apps, use battery saver mode, reduce screen brightness.

🔄 Day 4 – “Reuse & Repair Thursday”

Theme: Reuse and repair.
Challenge: Identify a device you could repair, donate, or share instead of replacing.

🌍 Day 5 – “Smart Future Friday”

Theme: Responsible technology and personal commitment.
Action: “Sustainability Pledge Wall” on campus where students write their personal eco-tech promises.
