EWWR 2025 Educational Campaign – Understanding and Reducing E-Waste
• WHAT will be done
Description:
To mark the European Week for Waste Reduction 2025, The Western Regional Council is launching a short educational social media campaign focused on raising awareness about WEEE (electronic waste) among residents of the region.
The campaign features a series of five themed posts, each consisting of 4–5 informative slides, covering topics such as What is E-Waste, The Journey of Your Old Electronics, The Right to Repair, Smart Buying Habits, and Where to Dispose of E-Waste.
Through clear visuals and concise messages, the campaign aims to educate the public on the environmental impact of e-waste, promote repair and reuse practices, and encourage responsible disposal at local collection points. This initiative complements the region’s broader commitment to circular economy principles and sustainable waste management.
