Everything You Throw Away Comes Back
• WHAT will be done
Description:
This awareness-raising video focuses on consumption habits and the environmental consequences of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). The film depicts a cycle of regret that begins when the main character, listening to music by the seaside, carelessly throws away her broken earphones instead of repairing or properly recycling them. Through a surreal nightmare, she witnesses how the discarded electronic waste eventually contaminates the food she consumes, such as canned goods and apples—symbolizing the destructive impact of irresponsible consumption on nature and the food chain. The moment of awakening and remorse leads into closing messages that emphasize the importance of repair, reuse, and responsible e-waste management, ending with informative texts and calls to action.
