Motive47 is a collection that looks back in order to speak about today. Fashion has changed, it’s become fast, mass-produced, and often emotionless. Fabrics are thrown away, clothes are short-lived, and with that, we lose durability and value. But just like in 1947, today we still need a true connection to what we wear, something that not only decorates, but also speaks, reminds, and inspires. The silhouettes in this collection are inspired by Christian Dior’s first 1947 collection, especially the iconic “Bar” jacket, with its cinched waist and wide hips, like a sculptural architecture of the body. That silhouette became a new style standard and symbolized women returning to life and strength after the war. Despite post-war restrictions, Dior brought back France’s place in the world of haute couture. Motive47 doesn’t just take inspiration from the past, it reinterprets it. At the heart of the collection are old neckties, found in flea markets, second-hand shops, or forgotten in someone’s closet. These ties are not just fabric, they are emotional artifacts. Each one has its own story, a personal “motive”, which is reborn in a new form, gaining new meaning and creating a dialogue between what was and what is. In this collection, neckties are no longer just accessories,  they become the main characters. Their past connects with the present. As a contrast to fast fashion, this is an invitation to slow down, look closer, feel, and find meaning even in the smallest details. This is a collection of stories, about people and objects given a new life. The name Motive47 brings together the past and the present: the year 1947, when a new fashion silhouette was born, and the personal “motives” hidden in each reborn piece of fabric.
