As Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, within the scope of European Week for Waste Reduction between 22-30 November 2025, our workshop on reducing electronic waste with the title of “THE END OF PIXELS, E_ART WORKSHOP” with the theme of “Electronic Waste: Close Waste, Open Savings” will be held with the participation of students from the Zero Waste Club, Environment Club and Sustainable Traces Club on Tuesday, 25 November between 11:00-13:00 at the Kocaeli University Culture Hall, accompanied by faculty members from the Kocaeli University Sustainability Office and technical staff from the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Environmental Protection and Control Department.

This workshop aims to raise awareness about e-waste, raise public awareness, and encourage sustainable consumption habits by reaching young people who benefit most from the power of the digital world today and mobilizing them to reuse electronic waste with an artistic perspective.

At the same time, encouraging them to adopt environmentally friendly lifestyles and helping them develop creative solutions to reduce electronic waste is one of the main goals that guide the project. In addition, our project will aim to raise awareness not only among young people but also among a wider audience about electronic waste, through the interaction opportunities provided by social media platforms, through posts to be shared on the social media accounts of both institutions.
