The Municipality of Çankaya will organize an electronic waste collection campaign as part of the 17th edition of the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR), held between 22–30 November 2025 under the theme “Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)”. From 24 to 28 November, municipal staff will be invited to bring unused, broken, or irreparable electrical and electronic devices from their homes to the main municipal building, where the collected e-waste will be temporarily stored before being handed over to an authorized recycling company; large electronic items will be collected directly from homes by the contracted waste collection firm upon request. In parallel, an awareness-raising event and collection activity will  take place at Bahçelievler Sınav Anatolian High School, engaging students, teachers, and school administrators to increase understanding of sustainable waste management and encourage behavioral change toward responsible consumption.The action aims to promote waste prevention, reuse, and recycling while strengthening environmental awareness among both municipal employees and young people.
