During the campaign, on November 25 and 26, 2025, we will draw the attention of the employees of the mayor’s office to the dangers and harmful effects of e-waste. We encourage employees to properly dispose of and recycle e-waste in their own environment. We are looking for solutions and good practices that inspire the local population, which we can then present to a wider audience. The goal is for the employees of the mayor’s office to be able to authentically convey the spirit of the European Waste Reduction Week to the population. In line with this, the planned topics of the November 2025 public hearing of the General Assembly include The expected and regular use of the selective waste collection islands located in Hódmezővásárhely by the population . Between November 26 and 27, 2025, we plan to sensitize the population by presenting the importance and opportunities of e-waste disposal on multiple media platforms. Kindergartens maintained by the municipality and the Tornyai János Museum, Library and Cultural Center will join the program series with age-appropriate awareness programs. We expect the impact of our campaign to increase the rate of e-waste disposal among the population and raise awareness of the importance of recycling.
