📀 “New Life for Old Discs” – Creative Reuse of CDs in the Spirit of E-Waste Reduction

Short description of the commitment:

During the European Week for Waste Reduction, our school joins the 2025 thematic focus on e-waste reduction through a creative and educational community project.
The aim is to raise students’ awareness of the importance of reducing and reusing electronic waste, showing that old devices and data carriers can be turned into valuable, artistic creations.

Planned activities:

• Each class will collect old, unused CDs.

• Students will create decorative objects from the discs during art, technology, or class activities.

• The theme of the artworks is free, but each piece must clearly display the class name.

• Teachers will take photos documenting the creative process and send them to the school office.

• The completed artworks will be presented in a school exhibition on the first floor during the thematic week.
