In collaboration with Beylikdüzü Municipality and the Beylikdüzü City Council Disabled Persons Assembly, waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) is being collected and recycled in an environmentally friendly manner. As part of this project, revenue generated from the recycling of electronic waste collected from Beylikdüzü residents is used to provide medical supplies to disadvantaged citizens. The project aims to both reduce the amount of electronic waste and raise awareness of social responsibility.

Project Scope:
• Regular collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
• Sending the collected waste to recycling facilities.
• Providing free medical supplies to disadvantaged citizens, such as individuals with disabilities and the elderly, with the revenue generated from recycling.
• Raising awareness about waste reduction.

Project Goals:
• Minimizing the environmental risks caused by electronic waste.
• Providing social benefits by providing medical supplies to disadvantaged individuals.
• Improving the quality of life of disadvantaged citizens.
• Raising public awareness as part of European Waste Reduction Week.

A special project-based action will be implemented as part of European Waste Reduction Week.

As part of this action:

• People in need will be identified in the Beylikdüzü district.

• Necessary medical supplies will be provided with the proceeds from recycling electronic waste.

• The procured medical supplies will be distributed to designated individuals in need at an event to be held on the day of the event.

This action will both emphasize the importance of waste reduction and implement an exemplary social responsibility practice that transforms recycling into a social benefit.
