Be useful, think of the little ones!
• WHAT will be done
Description:
Where should I put my electronic waste? How can I use it so that it is useful? We are looking for answers to these questions with seventh graders (13-14 years old).
Seventh graders are working on a project on the topic of recycling electronic waste. The students work in small groups: they brainstorm, design and then create their own products. The boys’ groups design and create an offline game that develops the thinking, dexterity and creativity of lower grade children, for example, a skill ball court or a board game made from parts of old electrical devices. The girls’ groups draw inspiration from the fashion and beauty industry and create useful objects, such as a jewelry stand or makeup box made from recycled materials.
The goal of the project is for the students to experience the importance of collaboration, creative design and sustainability, while creating a truly useful and unique product.
The products can be tried out and tested by younger students.
During the process, we also mobilize parents and grandparents, so that we can shape the perspective of the older class through the children.
