“A gadget comes to life – Green melodies in kindergarten”
• WHAT will be done
Description:
The aim of the program is to introduce children to the concept of electronic waste, the importance of recycling and reuse in a playful way. We would like to raise awareness that old or broken devices can also be given a new life, and that environmental protection can also be implemented in everyday life.
Planned activities: During the entire duration of Waste Reduction Week, we will draw attention to the topic of e-waste with various programs in the kindergarten: Music Batyu concert: the performer plays music on instruments made from recycled materials, demonstrating that value can also be created from waste.
Craft day: the children make their own musical instruments from waste materials, which we also use to make music together.
FKF presentation: an FKF employee will hold a playful, age-appropriate session in each group about recycling and selective collection.
Family creative competition – “A gadget’s new life”: families can create new objects at home from old, non-working electronic devices and waste materials (e.g. old computer parts, keyboards, cables, CDs, broken toys). It can be a robot, a musical instrument, a decorative object or any creative creation. At the end, we will display the mini exhibition “A gadget’s new life” in the kindergarten.
Shoebox fundraising: to close the week, the community collects used but good-condition toys and devices for families in need, thus reinforcing the message of reuse.
