We always say that the European Week for Waste Reduction campaign exists for and because of its coordinators and action developers. Our big family got bigger and bigger along the years and we are always happy to welcome new members to spread the message of a less-waste world all over Europe and beyond.

We are happy to announce that a new regional coordinator joined the campaign!

Federconsumatori Lazio is an Italian NGO, with more than 30 years of activity in the representation, protection, training, and information of citizens in their capacity as consumers and users. It supports users and consumers with its long experiences and  experts to inform them about their rights, updating them on the new laws and it suggests actions through its website, social media, free phone numbers and traditional branches. It aims to support citizens and local associations to address the modern important questions of economic, social and cultural development, searching new models of participation and active citizenship in terms of improving the local and regional sustainability.

Their team of young and highly-motivated people will support the promotion of the EWWR campaign in the Lazio Region (Italy), also focusing on the role of circular communities. In fact, Federconsumatori Lazio is carrying out study projects (also related to national and European regional legislation), and feasibility projects that create replicable circular economy models developed through the economic models of the third sector. Among the circular economy models, particular attention is paid to those of community cooperatives, energy cooperatives, social enterprises both in sectors such as renewable energy, food waste and sustainable communities.
