A Show Cooking at the Matosinhos Municipal Market in Livestream, in which a dish was prepared with leftovers; a creative workshop: embroidering used clothes; a challenge to promote initiatives and/or share manual skills that contribute to the reduction and/or reuse of textiles; a initiative to combat food waste and to promote zero waste; and a workshop to learn about the characteristics of the Mediterranean diet, classified as a sustainable diet and to experience the elaboration of some culinary recipes.
Those are the five actions selected by LIPOR (Intermunicipal Waste Management Service of Greater Porto), one in each category of Action Developer, to represent LIPOR’s area of influence among the 220 actions carried out during the 13th European Week for Waste Reduction. The selection at regional level was based on the criteria defined by the jury of the European Awards: visibility and communicational aspects; quality of content; originality and exemplarity; lasting impact & follow-up.
