Meet the finalists of the EWWR 2024 in the Association / NGO category:

• Food Frenzy implemented by Plataforma Aprofitem els Aliments, in Catalonia.

A cooking contest where culinary students competed using rescued food, creating dishes in two hours with unknown ingredients and penalties for waste. Winners earned a chef-led masterclass and a prize basket.

• From waste to fashion Euskadi implemented by DUARA, in Bilbao.

A circular fashion contest where designers turned local textile waste into sustainable pieces. Regional winners advanced to a live finale during EWWR 2024, raising awareness through a runway show in Bilbao.

• Let’s recover the culture of non-waste implemented ReFoodGees Aps, in Rome.

A year-long project where volunteers, including migrants, collected unsold market food to support marginalised families. It included student workshops and market outreach, ending with a buffet made from recovered goods.
