A new coordinator joined the EWWR campaign

We are happy to announce that Vračar, central municipality of Belgrade, joined the EWWR campaign and, through the no-profit organisation Ecologists without border, it will be a local coordinator in Serbia.

Last year, this small municipality supported the Ecologists without borders that organised a clean-up action in Belgrade. They also organises recycling of e-waste (electrical and electronic equipment for example batteries) and they started a free battery recycling education program for schools, promoting among the students the importance of recycling to protect the environment.

They are already preparing an action for the upcoming edition of the EWWR, organising a challenge among schools to collect as much batteries as possible. The NGO is also involved into the organisation of the first plogging activity in Belgrade, among the schools combining the physical education to the collection of abandoned waste.
