INFO [what will be done]
Description:
The main objective of this initiative is to raise awareness about the importance of combating food waste, promoting more conscious and sustainable comsumption habits. Through the practical demonstration of eco-gastronomy techniques, the action aims to empower students to optimize household food resources by demonstrating the nutritional and culinary value of parts traditionally neglected in daily cooking.
This action is designed as a formative workshop focused on implementing leftover reuse recipes and the comprehensive utilization of whole foods. The activity aims to equip students with practical tools and skills to mitigate the ecological footprint associated with domestic organic waste. This workshop will focus on the preparation and implementation of innovative recipes designed to maximize food resources and reuse leftovers. Specifically, students will learn to prepare a savory fish pudding utilizing stale bread and leftover roasted or boiled fish, demonstrating how to safely reintroduce these surpluses into the household menu. Additionally, the workshop will showcase recipes based on parts of food that are traditionally neglected or discarded, exploring proper culinary techniques to create delicious cakes and juices using fruit peels, thereby maximizing the total yield of the ingredients.Under the core guiding principle: “Before throwing it away, let’s reinvent! Because food deserves a second chance!”, this activity demonstrates that the prevention of bio-waste is a fundamental pillar for the environmental and economic sustainability of families.
