Description:
As part of the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) 2026, the University of Pavia’s OSA – Office for Sustainable Actions, in collaboration with the University’s CRAL (Staff Recreational Association) and Repair Café Pavia, is organising a Swap Party with dedicated clothing repair and mending stations.
The event invites students, university staff and citizens to exchange clothes and accessories they no longer use, giving them a second life while reducing textile waste.
Volunteers from Repair Café Pavia will offer practical demonstrations and guidance on simple mending techniques, encouraging participants to repair rather than discard damaged garments.
Combining reuse, repair and community participation, the initiative aims to promote more sustainable consumption habits, extend the lifespan of clothing and raise awareness of the environmental impact of fast fashion.
