Forgotton Coats amnesty!

Working with colleagues across different council departments, we’re tackling the big problem of forgotten coats. Across our parks and pitches we have coats that have been left behind in huge numbers, so we’re taking action. We’ll collect up, sort and display the coats, and then work with local charities and schools to donate any good quality items so that people who need them can have access to these coats in time for the winter months.  We’ll publicise the project as an education piece to remind people not to forget their coats, and to encourage others to donate good quality unwanted coats and other items to local charities and schools who can use them.
