We are very happy to announce the winner and runners-up of the EWWR2023 Photo Contest!

More than 81 enthusiastic participants of the 15th edition of the EWWR took part in our Photo Contest 2023, sharing with the rest of the community creative pictures of wonderful waste reduction actions.

Without further delay… discover the winning photos:

1. “All Round Circular R-park” by MiReHu Nonprofit Kft

The winning picture is “All Round Circular R-park” by MiReHu Nonprofit Kft, a non-hazardous waste collection, transport and treatment company in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén (Hungary). The photo respected all the rules of the contest and scored the highest for visibility of this year’s thematic focus and originality of the picture. With the action “May the power of R be with you, may you too be a superhero“, seven stations have been installed in a circular shape in the R-park. Inhabitants can take a circular walk with the main aim of rethinking what we know about packaging waste and its lifecycle.

This will become the new cover photo of the EWWR social media channels and of the EWWR website!

2. “When Trash becomes Art!” by Laboratory of Special Vocational Education of Agios Dimitrios – 1st Gymnasium of Agios Dimitrios

The photo by Laboratory of Special Vocational Education of Agios Dimitrios – 1st Gymnasium of Agios Dimitrios (Greece), who took part in the EWWR 2023 with the action “When Trash becomes Art!”, shows art as a vehicle to waste management…. Let the children show us the way!  

3. “Photoshock Wall” by MiReHu Nonprofit Kft

The winner secures not only victory but also claims the third position! The photo, as part of the action  “May the power of R be with you, may you too be a superhero” by MiReHu Nonprofit Kft, shows a Photoshock Wall. The wall aims to draw attention to packaging waste and overproduction through its shocking effect.
