The EWWR 2022 to kick off with over 16,000 actions registered!

The European Week for Waste Reduction is ready to launch another intensive week of awareness-raising activities from 19 to 27 November 2022. For its 14th edition, 16,129 actions related to waste reduction, product reuse, repair, materials recycling, as well as clean-ups will be carried out across 30 countries in Europe and beyond.

Each year, the EWWR selects a specific aspect of waste reduction on which to focus. This 14th edition explores the topic of Circular and Sustainable Textiles, analysing the impact that the textile sector has on our planet and society. It inspires not only citizens as consumers to take action by, for instance, changing their way of using and buying clothes, but also public authorities, private companies and NGOs to be protagonists in the transition to a more circular textile industry by promoting, supporting and guiding new solutions of production, use, disposal, and reuse of the textile. For more information on the EWWR 2022, please consult our comprehensive Press File.
